1938 CADILLAC V16
SERIES 90 FLEETWOOD TOWN CAR

This rare cadillac V16 limousine was originally delivered in 1938 to the noblewoman Countess Rosario De Larraechea de Schiffner. Upon the death of the Countess the Cadillac was willed to Cardinal Spellman, a dear friend and advisor to President Roosvelt. The Cardinal gladly accepted the limousine and commissioned it to the Vatican Motor Pool. In the new prestigious role this imposing car was frequently used by Pope Pius XII on particularly important occasions. In May 1961 it was reserved to Her Majesty The Queel Elizabeth II for the official Royal visit to the Vatican.
